Miami have demonstrated a bit of everything this year so the jury's out on if this is the start of a trend, but for Buffalo they'll require an instant response in a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the Patriots are quietly moving into a comfortable advantage at the top of the AFC East

Regarding the Patriots, they're among three different 8-2 squads in the league, all AFC teams, but are they the best?

The Colts also play the Chiefs, and have the Seattle, 49ers and two matchups with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There is a long way to go but the door is available for a shock top seed in the American Football Conference

Both squads with strong arguments to be superior to all of the three different 8-2 sides are National Football Conference West rivals the Seattle and Rams, who each put up forty points to go to 7-2 before the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the pair in Los Angeles

They've both won four in a row, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defensive units allowing fewer than twenty points a contest

The Seahawks also lost to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in week one, before losing to the last kick of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they are genuinely among the best sides in the league
